August 2019 Update
…We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
There has been a lot going on since my last update. I felt lead to leave where I had been for about four years and head into something new. I am now in the US for a while to raise support. Here is a summary of what has happened and what I plan to do:
Last December I went to Florida and joined a mission agency called Pioneers. Because I joined Pioneers, I decided that it was time to move on from where I had been in Japan. So, at the end of the school year in June, I left my position at Grace Christian Fellowship and am now back in the US to raise support before leaving for Japan again with Pioneers. My goal is to return to Japan with them in October 2020. Until that time, I will be in the Lompoc area raising financial support.
In the past few months, there have been a few times when I’ve felt God was comforting/assuring/affirming me and I would like to share.
•I had made a trip to the immigration office in Japan to take care of some things regarding my visa before I left the country. I left the office feeling like I had made a mistake. I felt a weight in the pit of my stomach. I hoped I hadn’t ruined my chances of returning to Japan somehow. The next day there was a small card on my desk that said, “Don’t worry about tomorrow, God is already there.” I was reminded that God is going before me and that He provides a way for us to accomplish His plans.
•I was thinking about raising support and it was making me anxious. I was reading 1 Timothy and was reminded that “God has not given us a spirit of
•The night before I departed from Japan, I was given a large amount of money to put towards my mission.
I have felt God moving in my life and in me very strongly lately indeed.
Here is how you can pray for me:
•Pray that I would be able to raise support,
•be able to approach and get to know more people at church,
•use my time wisely
•find a part-time job
•not forget Japanese
•remember the confirmation that God has given me
If you would like to send support, there are instructions here.
Thank you for your prayers,
